Gresham: new solar, installed by licensed electricians

Gresham's 60 percent roof rule

Gresham's development code says a small solar energy system may cover no more than 60 percent of the roof it sits on. That is a design limit we plan to from the first sketch. Permits go through the city online portal under Residential Renewable Energy, a permit is required before any work starts, and in Gresham solar companies typically manage the permitting, which is our job here.

PGE east of 122nd and across the city

The city utilities page lists PGE for electricity, and PGE's service area page covers all areas from 122nd Avenue east to Mount Hood. PGE takes interconnection applications online through PowerClerk. Energy Trust of Oregon solar incentives are open to Oregon customers of PGE or Pacific Power, and we look at them when we write your quote.

Hills on the east side, 16 neighborhoods

Gresham has a hilly eastern border and 16 recognized neighborhoods. The median home was built in 1981, and 56 percent of occupied homes are owner-occupied (Census ACS 2020-2024). A median of 1981 means many roofs have been replaced once already. If yours is due, ask about our solar removal and reinstall before a re-roof.
