What commercial solar is, and who it is for
Commercial solar is a larger solar system sized to a business building and its power use. It suits owners and operators with steady daytime electricity use, a roof or ground area with good sun, and a long enough horizon in the building for the system to make financial sense.
Typical fits are offices, shops, light industrial buildings, farms, and multi-unit properties. Business systems differ from home systems in size, financing, and tax treatment, so the conversation starts with your power bills and your building, not with a catalog.

How a commercial job works

- Installation. Our crew installs the array and the electrical tie-in and coordinates with you so the business keeps running.
- Activation and support. After inspection and approval we switch the system on and stay available for questions and service.
Add storage, EV charging, or a panel upgrade
Solar is often the start of a bigger energy plan. A battery can keep critical equipment running during an outage. EV charging can serve a fleet or customers. Net metering and bill credits
Oregon net metering lets a business send extra solar power to the grid and receive bill credits for it. Your meter tracks power flowing both ways, and credits apply against what you use from the utility. How much credit your building earns depends on your utility, your system size, and your usage pattern, so we model it against your real bills during the design step instead of quoting a generic number. Incentives and permits
Business solar can qualify for incentives that homeowners no longer get, so the credit picture is different for a business. Federal business credits may still apply, accelerated depreciation (MACRS) may apply to the equipment, and Energy Trust of Oregon offers programs for commercial projects.
