Solar panel removal and reinstall means we take your array off the roof for roof work, then put it back and test it. It is for homeowners replacing or repairing a roof, selling a house, building an addition, or dealing with storm or tree damage. How a removal and reinstall job works

1. Consultation and design. We get your roofer's contact, learn the roof timeline, and plan removal and return around it.
2. Permitting and paperwork. We handle any permits and paperwork the work needs and coordinate the utility side if the system must be shut down.
3. Removal. We take the panels off and store them while your roofer works.
4. Reinstall and activation. When the roof is done we reinstall everything, reactivate the system, test performance, and remain your contact afterward.

Why not let the roofer move the panels

A roofer can move panels, but solar is high-voltage DC wiring covered by electrical code. We have seen problems when panels come off without an electrician, such as cracked panels and bent racking.
