What we do as electricians, and who it is for

We are licensed electricians first. Energy Solutions grew out of solar and, over the last few years, became a full electrical contractor. Many of our past solar customers do not know they can hire us for electrical work, and neither do the roofers, restoration companies, and realtors who need a licensed electrician fast.

This page is the short list of the electrical jobs we focus on: panel changes, service upgrades, EV chargers, whole-house generators, and removing and reinstalling solar panels. We also install solar and batteries, which gives us unusual depth on how a modern home's power works as one system.

The electrical work we focus on

We take on projects like these. We do not market ourselves for small calls such as ceiling fans or tripped GFCI outlets.

Brands we install

For electrical gear, we install Eaton, Square D, Siemens, Leviton, and SPAN smart panels.

Homeowners: one team for the whole house

If you want a panel that passes your insurer, a charger for the garage, or backup power for the next storm, one call gets you licensed electricians who also know solar and batteries. We design the job around your panel first, because that is where every other project depends. Our post one contractor for everything explains how that works in practice.

Roofers: we remove and reinstall solar

If you re-roof houses with solar on them, we are the call that keeps the job moving. We detach the array, store it, and reinstall and test it after the roof is done, working to your schedule. You keep the roof, we handle the high-voltage wiring and the panels. Send us the address and dates and we will quote it. See solar panel removal and reinstall or use the removal quote page.

Restoration companies: licensed electricians when you need them

After fire, water, or storm damage, a restoration project often needs a licensed electrician for panel work, service repairs, or solar removal. We are licensed in Oregon (CCB 202002) and can take on panel replacements and service work as part of your project. We offer a written estimate your customer can give to an insurance adjuster when a claim is involved. Call (971) 526-5545 to talk through a job.

Realtors: one team for everything on the inspection list

Inspection reports often come back with panel notes, outdated service, or questions about a solar system the buyer is inheriting. We handle panel upgrades, service upgrades, solar service, and removal and reinstall. Grant also teaches a solar and real estate continuing-education class through title companies. If you want a team that covers the electrical and the solar in one visit, we can help.

How a job works

  1. Consultation and design. We look at your panel, your service, and your goals, then tell you what the work needs.
  2. Permitting and paperwork. We pull the permit and handle utility coordination.
  3. Installation. Our licensed electricians do the work.
  4. Activation and support. We test, label, support the inspection, and stay available afterward.

Permits and incentives

Electrical work in Oregon needs permits and inspections, and we handle both. Energy Trust of Oregon and state programs may offer incentives on related solar, battery, or EV work, and the federal homeowner credit has ended, so we do not promise it. Business credits may still apply to commercial projects. We check what applies at quote time.

Signs you need an electrician for a bigger job

  • Your insurer wants the panel replaced
  • You are adding an EV charger, heat pump, or battery to an older service
  • Your roofer found panels in the way of a re-roof
  • You want automatic power through storms
  • You are buying or selling a home with an old panel or a solar system

Why one licensed electrical team

One licensed team means one set of people who design the work, pull the permit, wire it, and answer the phone after it is running. Energy Solutions has been doing this since 2013, our crew carries 50+ years of combined team experience, and our Oregon CCB license number is 202002. Licensed electricians are on our own crew, so the electrical part of your job is not handed to a stranger.

Everything here is electrical work done by our own licensed electricians, with the permit, the inspection, and the follow-up handled by one team.

What customers say

"It's the day before Independence Day and every company we called was either closed or couldn't get anyone to come out until Monday... We called Energy Solutions and Sean was at our house in an hour to save the day!"
